The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
