Believers, do not accept illegal interest in order to increase your wealth many times over. Have fear of God so that you will have everlasting happiness. 130 Keep away from the Fire prepared for the infidels; 131 And obey Allah and the messenger, that ye may find mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Who expend both in joy and tribulation, who suppress their anger and pardon their fellowmen; and God loves those who are upright and do good, 134 These are the ones who, when they commit any indecency and wrong against themselves, instantly remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - for who will forgive sins save Allah? - and who do not wilfully persist in the wrong they did. 135 Those! their meed is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens whereunder rivers flow; they shall be abiders therein. Excellent is the hire of the workers! 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 Here is a plain statement to men, a guidance and instruction to those who fear Allah! 138 So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For ye must gain mastery if ye are true in Faith. 139 If misfortune touches you, [know that] similar misfortune has touched [other] people as well; for it is by turns that We apportion unto men such days [of fortune and misfortune]: and [this] to the end that God might mark out those who have attained to faith, and choose from among you such as [with their lives] bear witness to the truth - since God does not love evildoers 140 so that God may purge those who believe and wipe out those who deny the truth. 141 Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise without Allah knowing those of you who struggled and who were patient? 142 And you used to wish for death before you met it; so now you see it before your eyes. 143
