Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And on that Day there shall be scowling faces, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
