Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
