Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
