Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5
