Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
