Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
