۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]. 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
