O you who believe, seek courage in fortitude and prayer, for God is with those who are patient and persevere. 153 Do not consider those who are slain for the cause of God to be dead. They are alive but you are unaware of them. 154 We shall certainly test you with fear and hunger, and loss of property, lives and crops. Give good news to those who endure with fortitude. 155 Who say when assailed by adversity: "Surely we are for God, and to Him we shall return." 156 On those will be prayers and mercy from their Lord, those are guided. 157 ۞ Safah and Marwah are the waymarks of Allah. Whoever performs the pilgrimage to the House or the visit, there shall be no guilt on him to circumambulate between both of them. And whoever volunteers good, Allah is Thankful, the Knower. 158 Lo! Those who hide the proofs and the guidance which We revealed, after We had made it clear to mankind in the Scripture: such are accursed of Allah and accursed of those who have the power to curse. 159 Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. 160 But those who disbelieve, and die disbelieving shall incur the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. 161 They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot). 162 Your God is One God; there is no god but He, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate. 163
