Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
