The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
