The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
