The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They are devising guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite - give them some time. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
