The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Issuing from the pelvis between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And no trifle. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
