The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the pages are made public 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
