The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the Mount Sinai, 1 and the Book inscribed 2 In an outstretched fine parchment, 3 by the House inhabited 4 By the Canopy Raised High; 5 By the sea overflowing. 6 surely, the punishment of your Lord is about to come, 7 No one can avert it. 8 on the Day when the skies are convulsed, 9 And the mountains move away with (awful) movement, 10 woe that day unto those that cry lies, 11 That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles. 12 the day when they shall be pitched into the fire of Gehenna: 13 (And told:) "This is the fire which you denied. 14 Is this magic or do you not see? 15 Roast in it, bear it with or without patience, it is the same, you are only being recompensed for that which you used to do' 16 Truly, the God-fearing will dwell [on that Day] in gardens and in bliss, 17 rejoicing in all their Lord has given them, and their Lord will guard them against the punishment of Hell. 18 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of that which you did' 19 reclining on couches arranged in rows. And We shall wed them to fair maidens with large beautiful eyes. 20 And those who believed, and whose progeny also followed them in their faith, will be united with their offspring. We will not deprive them of their labour in the least. Every man is bound to what he does. 21 And We shall bestow on them fruit and meat in abundance - whatever they may desire: 22 There they pass from hand to hand a cup wherein is neither vanity nor cause of sin. 23 ۞ and youths, of their own, shall pass among them as if they were hidden pearls. 24 They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry. 25 'When we were among our people' they will say, 'we were ever fearful, 26 But God has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of scorching wind. 27 Formerly we had always prayed to Him. Surely He is Most Benign, Most Compassionate.” 28

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
