Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
