Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 A guide and a mercy for the Muhsinun (good-doers) 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 And when Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. 11
