T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 Then when he was come thereto, he was cried unto. O Musa! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
