And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 But nay - the Last Hour is the time when they shall truly meet their fate; and that Last Hour will be most calamitous, and most bitter: 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
