And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
