And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people, “I have no relation whatsoever with your deities.” 26 except for the One who has created me and will guide me". 27 And he made it a word lasting among his posterity that haply they should return. 28 I gave them and their fathers days of enjoyment until the truth and a clear Messenger came to them. 29 but when the truth came to them, they said, "This is sorcery, and we reject it." 30 And they say: Why was not this Quran revealed to a man of importance in the two towns? 31 Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad SAW) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass. 32 And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend. 33 and (silver) doors to their houses, and couches (of silver) upon which they would recline; 34 And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous. 35
