Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Beholdest thou him who belieth the Requital? 1 That is he who repelleth the orphan, 2 And does not urge (others) to feed the poor. 3 Woe, therefore, unto such performers of prayer. 4 As are of their prayer careless. 5 Those who make show [of their deeds] 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

God the Almighty always says the truth.
