Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 and in most of them We found no [inner] bond with anything that is right - and most of them We found to be iniquitous indeed. 102 AND AFTER those [early people] We sent Moses with Our messages unto Pharaoh and his great ones, and they wilfully rejected them: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 103 Moses said: "O Pharaoh! I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds,- 104 duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you come with a sign, then produce it, if you are telling the truth." 106 Then [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick and behold! it was a serpent, manifest! 107 Then he uncovered his hand and it appeared sheer white to the onlookers. 108
