3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
