۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 None shall touch it save the purified ones. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 So is this the matter regarding which you laze? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 and that hour you are watching 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
