T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it down, and lo! it was a rapidly moving snake. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
