And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
