Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
