The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 "So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
