The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited with the bodies 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the close of night, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
