Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
