Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
