3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
