S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Saad* – By oath of the renowned Qur’an, (Alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 Verily those who disbelieve are in vainglory and schism. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before them, and they [then] called out; but it was not a time for escape. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This is an enchanter, a liar. 4 Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing. 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or have they the treasuries of thy Lord's mercy, the All-mighty, the All-giving? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lout (Lot), and the dwellers of the wood; such were the confederates. 13 Not one of them but belied the Messengers, therefore My Torment was justified, 14
