Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
