The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shock 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Midst lote-trees thornless. 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And shade extended 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38
