The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
