Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
