Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 59 A group of his people said to him, "You are absolutely wrong." 60 "I have not gone astray, O my people," he said, "but have been sent by my Lord, the creator of all the worlds. 61 “Conveying to you the messages of my Lord and wishing good for you, and I know from Allah what you do not know.” 62 Do you find it so strange that a message should come from your Lord through a man from among yourselves, so that he may warn you and so that you may fear God and be shown mercy?" 63 But they called him a liar, and We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and drowned the others who rejected Our signs, for they were a people purblind. 64
