O People who Believe! Seek help from patience and prayer; indeed Allah is with those who patiently endure. 153 And do not utter regarding those who are slain in Allah's cause as “dead”; in fact they are alive, but it is you who are unaware. 154 Be sure We shall try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and the fruits (of your labour); but give tidings of happiness to those who have patience, 155 who, when they are visited by an affliction, say, 'Surely we belong to God, and to Him we return'; 156 Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course. 157 ۞ [Hence,] behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two: for, if one does more good than he is bound to do - behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing. 158 They who conceal Our signs and the guidance We have sent them and have made clear in the Book, are condemned of God and are condemned by those who are worthy of condemning. 159 I, however, will forgive those of them who repent of it, mend their ways and make own what they were concealing: for I am very generous in accepting repentance and showing mercy. 160 But those who deny, and die disbelieving, bear the condemnation of God and the angels and that of all men, 161 They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot). 162 And the God of you all is one God; there is no God but He, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163
