Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 And We have preserved it from every accursed devil, 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 And We have appointed thereon for you livelihoods and also for those of whom ye are not the providers. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 And We send the winds fertilizing, then We send down water from the heaven and We give it to you to drink, and thereof ye could not be the treasurers. 22 Truly, it is We who bring to life and We who cause death and We are the inheritor of all things. 23 And well do We know [the hearts and deeds of all human beings - both] those who lived before you and those who will come after you; 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
