BE CONSTANT in [thy] prayer from the time when the sun has passed its zenith till the darkness of night, and [be ever mindful of its] recitation at dawn: for, behold, the recitation [of prayer] at dawn is indeed witnessed [by all that is holy]. 78 And as for the night, keep vigil a part of it, as a work of supererogation for thee; it may be that thy Lord will raise thee up to a laudable station. 79 And say: My Lord! Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing. And give me from Thy presence a sustaining Power. 80 And proclaim: "The Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish." 81 What We have sent down of the Qur'an is a healing and a grace for the faithful, and adds only loss for the sinners. 82 And when We bestow favor upon the disbeliever, he turns away and distances himself; and when evil touches him, he is ever despairing. 83 Say: "Everyone acts according to his own disposition: But your Lord knows best who it is that is best guided on the Way." 84
