Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 and produce sparks 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
