AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 Then, when they reached their meeting, they forgot their fish, and it took its way into the sea, burrowing. 61 Moses asked his young companion when they crossed this point, "Bring us our food; the journey has made us tired." 62 He replied: 'What do you think, I forgot the fish when we were resting on the rock. None but satan made me forget to mention this; it made its way into the sea in a marvelous fashion' 63 Musa said: that is that which we have been seeking. So they turned back upon their footsteps, retracing. 64 And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge. 65 Musa said to him: Shall I follow you on condition that you should teach me right knowledge of what you have been taught? 66 He answered: "You will surely not be able to bear with me. 67 And how shouldst thou bear patiently that thou hast never encompassed in thy knowledge?' 68 He said, 'Yet thou shalt find me, if God will, patient; and I shall not rebel against thee in anything.' 69 Said [the sage]: "Well, then, if thou art to follow me, do not question me about aught [that I may do] until I myself give thee an account thereof." 70
