In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta, Ha. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
