Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 watching over you 11 who know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
