It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give. 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 It is He who gives life and causes death and it is He who alternates night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will say, "To Allah!" say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?" 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Ask them, "If you have any knowledge, in whose hands is the ownership of all things? Who is the one who gives protection and yet He Himself is never protected?" 88 They will say, "All this belongs to God." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Never did Allah take unto Himself any son, nor is there any god other than He. (Had there been any other gods) each god would have taken his creatures away with him, and each would have rushed to overpower the other. Glory be to Allah from all that they characterize Him with! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
