We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
