Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 Allah will say, “Remain rebuked in it, and do not speak to Me.” 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
